You want to make really cool robots, maybe a hexapod or even a work of art containing a lot of moving elements. Maybe you want to drive LEDs with precision PWM output? You will soon realize that your Arduino has a limited number of PWM outputs. So what to do? You can either abandon your project or opt for this really convenient breakout board to drive PWM and Servo outputs. This controller is compatible with any Arduino using the following shields: Uno, Leo, Mega, ADK. When Adafruit saw this component, she immediately realized how great it could be. Use only 2 pins to control 16 more PWM outputs! It is even possible to chain breakout boards to control up to 992 PWM outputs! (which we would really like to see... it must produce a "splendid result"). Since I2C is a shared bus, you can also connect other I2C devices and sensors to the SCL/SDA pins as long as their addresses do not enter conlit (breakout address 0x40)
